Swan’s vision is to create an exciting new High Street for Laindon.
This will contain a mix of new shops and new homes. We would like to work with partners to deliver a new NHS Health Centre too. We are so committed to this project that we will be moving the current Swan HQ to Laindon from its current home in Billericay, which would relocate over 100 staff to the new Laindon High Street.
We would like to hear your thoughts and feedback on some proposed changes to the design of the high road at Laindon Place. After receiving feedback from Essex Highways, we have redesigned the layout of the highway design that was approved in the initial planning consent. These proposed changes remain consistent with Swan’s intention to regenerate Laindon high street, but they accommodate requests from Essex Highways around road safety and traffic flow.

We want your feedback on our vision for Manor Road. During the masterplan evolution we have considered various options of incorporating a block of flats while providing as much shared amenity space as possible together with great views and excellent daylight conditions. This is to ensure a place with great living conditions for the residents. The approved planning layout for Manor Road currently shows 20 houses. Our proposed vision shows 12 houses and a block of flats containing 28 apartments. Lidl will be relocating their store from the Manor road location to their brand new store across the road on the Laindon Place site, which is just about to start construction. We eagerly welcome your feedback on our proposal. Our online consultation is open now, closing on Friday 27 November.
